Performing Artist & Advocate
Affectionately known as a “Jill of all Trades”, Khanner Milan Hancock is a performing artist, educator, mental health advocate, and forever Miss North America 2022. This D.C. Metropolitan native has been performing through song across the nation's capital since the age of 9 on platforms like the National Cathedral and the White House. Khanner has been featured in productions ranging from Beauty and the Beast to For Colored Girls as she continues to let her life do the singing. REGIONAL: Riverside Center for the Arts: Beautiful (Janelle Woods), NextStop Theatre: School Girls; the African Mean Girls Play (Paulina), Workhouse Arts: Little Shop of Horrors (Crystal), Drowsy Chaperone (Swing). Other favorite credits include The Color Purple (Squeak), Memphis (Felicia), For Colored Girls (Lady in Blue), and Black Nativity.
Beyond the stage, Khanner has utilized her gifts and talents to serve as a voice for those silenced by mental illness and suicide. Her platform of H.O.P.E was founded in 2016, striving to Help Others Persevere Everyday by diminishing the stigma surrounding mental wellness and providing suicide prevention education. Combining her passion for arts and advocacy, she holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music Performance from Hampton University and a Master of Arts in Pastoral Counseling from Liberty University, while pursuing an Doctor of Education in Community Care and Counseling. Khanner is a proud member of Sigma Alpha Iota International Music Fraternity as well as Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc.
